Shen Wei's polished shoe skidded and nearly turned on a patch of ice. Neither of them were at all dressed for the weather, which had transformed from cool spring to deep arctic winter less than an hour ago.

Something is wrong. That's not the same Zhao Yunlan he kissed goodbye only minutes prior.

The wind is getting up, pushing the cold deeper into Zhu Yilong's bones. He shivers. Without a word, Bai Yu unwinds his woollen scarf and wraps it around Zhu Yilong's neck. He smooths one end down over his chest, and Zhu Yilong's heart rises up to meet his fingers.

He strolls into Zhu Yilong’s office with the swagger of someone who’s accustomed to being bent over the nearest flat surface.

He’d be pretty spread across his desk, Zhu Yilong decides.

Now he seemed frozen, caught out. Where he’d been relaxing a moment before, now his sprawl seemed tense and artificial.

“What do you mean,” he said, “‘agreement’?”

Baiyu is an avid stan. Zhu Yilong does his best to indulge his stan career.

Bai Yu was the goofy little brother; he wasn’t supposed to be feeling this protective.

“What the fuck?” Zhao Yunlan rasps out.

His own eyes stare back at him, but they’re not his. They’re so different, their natural playful spark entirely gone, replaced by steel and cold. Shen Wei, with Zhao Yunlan’s hand and arm and body, stretches out a cup of coffee in front of himself, offering it to Zhao Yunlan.

“We need to talk.”

Author's summary: “Why can't you ever just obey?” Shen Wei says, more fierce than frustrated, hands fisted at his sides, and Zhao Yunlan’s mouth goes perfectly dry.

Zhao Yunlan adapts to the sudden return of his memories. All of them.

On a Friday evening in July, Zhao Yunlan shuts off his computer with glee and shouts to the office at large, “Date night! Call at your own peril!” to which Chu Shuzhi replies, “Who would want to call you?”

Zhao Yunlan merrily turns his desk into a shrub, and the moment Chu Shuzhi’s pens drop into the branches, it changes back into a desk.

Enjoying a cruel little grin, Zhao Yunlan heads to the annoyingly expensive restaurant where Shen Wei is waiting.

It was no secret that the most sought-after bachelor on campus was Zhao Yunlan, 22, senior, criminology major, a brazen flirt who smirked at every person that looked his way, and - yeah, you get the idea. It was also not a secret that one of the top performers on Haixing INC’s “broadcasting” site happened to be, you guessed it, Zhao Yunlan, username: lollipop_boi, who consistently ranked in the weekly top 5, and the webcam favorite with a devoted following of hardcore fans. Oh, and one last thing: he pins for the TA of his forensic pathology course like it was his full-time job.
