Looking for someone who knew about that, this led them to a man who has lived under grief and hopelessness. To see that face again and make sure that person, Wu Xie, has nothing to do with Shen Wei, he accepts the job as a pretext. But he isn't prepared to really face Wu Xie and everything he is.

When Zhao Yunlan and Guo Changcheng are pitched into the distant past, they find themselves captured by the Alliance and mixed up in a conflict they know almost nothing about. Tensions are high, resources are scarce, and an all-too-familiar enemy is targeting the newly-minted Hallows.

Zhao Yunlan's only chance of getting them home to their own time hinges on gaining Hei Pao Shi's trust. But with Shen Wei convinced that "Kunlun" is an enemy spy, he's going to have to earn it the hard way -- by risking his life behind enemy lines.
