Guo Changcheng has been waiting for this day for a month, but before he can let go and give in to Chu Shuzhi, he needs to extract a promise.

Wu Xie and Zhao Yunlan both get separated from their respective partners at the annual Dragon city spring festival. Zhao Yunlan approaches Wu Xie thinking he's Shen Wei. This leaves both men wondering where Shen Wei and Xiaoge could have gotten up to.

The fact was simple: Wu Xie, the antique shop owner, had been a good friend of Shen Wei for a while - how it had happened was a long and ridiculous story, which Zhao Yunlan had heard five times and had stopped trying to understand, - and he was one of the few people who had always known that Shen Wei was Dixingren. And it was Wu Xie who Shen Wei had chosen to ask for help in his severe case of inability to confess his love - even if that love was something ridiculously explicit at that point.

When words fail, sometimes action is required. Guo Changcheng saves Shen Wei from a terrible blunder.

The only person that makes Chu Shuzhi have bad feelings is the Chief - Zhao Yunlan. The first time he saw him, he had to ask himself if this really is the Chief. The man looks like a walking disaster, a heartbreaker, and a playboy that sleeps around and leaves without even telling his one-night stand his name. And yes, this is a case where Chu Shuzhi should not judge a person by their appearance. Zhao Yunlan, who Chu Shuzhi thinks never has a normal loving relationship with anyone, has a wife. He has a freaking wife, what the hell?

Right on the heels of Zhao Yunlan's arrival in the ancient past, a celebration to bolster camaraderie is held. Excitement sweeps the Alliance camp with everyone wanting desperately to win the approval of the legendary General Kunlun by showing off their unique abilities. What no one knows, not even Zhao Yunlan, however, is the true purpose of the event, and what painful echoes it has left on the future.

Wu Xie calls the SID once again to have them help with the exploration of the tomb and the mystery of the blade. And so, the team goes to Hangzhou to uncover the secret of the mysterious blade.

A soulmate isn't someone you're destined to be with, but someone you chose despite everything. That was the bullshit Zhao Yunlan's mother said to make him feel better. He may have been born without a mark, but it wasn't something that bothered him. So what if he fell in love countless times with the bitter promise of failure? Meeting Shen Wei would just be another bump in the road, another entry in his long list of things he couldn't have. Destiny was overrated. Or maybe destiny was just determined to fuck him over.

The Iron Triangle goes on another dangerous trip to seek answers. It ends with a race against time to save one of their own.

Shen Wei learns that Ye Zun has found a way out of his pillar and is about to wreck havoc on Haixing.
Meanwhile Ye Zun, still stuck in Dixing, learns that Shen Wei has gone to the dark side. The hypocrisy!

Shen Wei had a plan, he had a goal, a vision of the country he would help to build.
And then, in Shen Wei’s third year at the Imperial Palace, Zhao Yunlan and his Supernatural Investigations Bureau arrived at the court.

Maybe, just possibly, Zhao Yunlan might be absolutely and definitely not fine.

There are several in-between moments that didn't fit into the overall flow of the main story, but I wanted to add them afterwards for anyone interested enough to stick around, since they're already rattling around in my head.
There will also be some that take place after the ending of the main story ***these are not entirely in chronological order***

For Zhao Yunlan, the concept of "home" will never be simple. Not when he was raised by the vampire who killed his parents, for whom he's developed equally complicated feelings for.

For Shen Wei, it's overwhelmingly clear: Home will always be Zhao Yunlan.

Zhao Yunlan wakes to a flurry of activity, the echoes of voices and footsteps ringing through the tunnels of the Alliance Headquarters. His first thought is that there has been a Rebel attack. He hurries to pull on his robes and gather his long hair into some semblance of order.

It isn’t until he has stumbled out of the little alcove assigned to General Kunlun that he realizes there is something unusual.

Ten thousand years in the past, Zhao Yunlan finds that he has accidentally stumbled into (yet another) legend.

When their apartment building's fire alarm goes off, Zhao Yunlan gets a chance to approach his new hot neighbor.

Shen Wei is surprised to find someone who looks like him. But is Wu Xie similar to him in anything other than looks?
