Zhao Yunlan hasn't had a real shower in, well, he doesn't know how long.

He never quite expected Shen Wei to come back from work with this suggestion.

Zhao Yunlan wakes up in Shen Wei's dream.

“Get your mind out of the gutter, Lao Zhao,” Da Qing hissed at him, slinking out from behind a tree, already back in human form.

“I don’t know what you’re talking about,” Zhao Yunlan proclaimed loftily as they headed towards the science faculty building to speak to the witness who had found the body.

“Please, you smelled like you were in heat when you saw the twins,” Da Qing said, making a face as he waved a hand in front of his nose.

Zhao Yunlan continued to feign ignorance. “So what if they’re twins. That’s not so strange.”

“They’re hot twins,” Da Qing insisted. “And you’re you.

A curious death at Dragon City University is the latest case to fall into the hands of the Special Investigations Department. As Zhao Yunlan investigates the crime scene, he meets Shen Wei and Ye Zun, the two most beautiful men he has ever seen in his life. They’re gorgeous, they’re intriguing and for some reason, they seem as drawn to Zhao Yunlan as he is to them, which just can’t be possible...right?

It's not something Zhao Yunlan has asked about, but he's seen how fast Shen Wei heals, and retaining those scars must have been deliberate. Whatever it means it has to be important somehow. It only makes sense that this young Shen Wei doesn't have them. Still, it looks strange somehow.

He thinks he could have summoned a portal days ago, to get them to their destination. He's not sure he wants to step into that space between worlds before he knows if this dark energy is affecting him differently. He definitely isn't ready to risk Zhao Yunlan's well being with a power he's not entirely sure about.

Zhao Yunlan looks up from the ground—he sort of needs to look where he's going, or he'll stumble on something—and glances over at Shen Wei. There's a light flush to Shen Wei's cheeks that makes Zhao Yunlan grin. It's so—cute.

Shen Wei can't tell if Zhao Yunlan is angry at him, or disappointed or maybe just tired. They haven't talked about things.

Zhao Yunlan really wants to ask how Shen Wei knows how to do all of these things, but well, it's not really the most relevant question right now.

There's not much to look at, muddy ground, some rocks, and a lot of trees. It doesn't look familiar in any way, but then to Zhao Yunlan, one wood is much like any other. Still, he's pretty sure that little trip by portal didn't go quite as planned.

Changcheng really didn’t want to go on another arranged date. He had to think up an excuse, and fast. He just never predicted that things would get so out of control. Now he has to deal with nosy coworkers, a perceptive aunt, and his own complicated feelings.

Ye Zun is bored. Shen Wei is worried. Zhao Yunlan has had enough. And Da Qing takes it upon himself to fix everything. It goes... more or less as planned.

Zhao Yunlan is listening alongside Chu Shuzhi and Guo Changcheng while the new recruit explains her case board when the center of his vision abruptly goes blurry.

He blinks, but the blurry blob remains, blocking out a significant chunk of the board. What the hell?

“I don’t understand.” Changcheng tried not to sound as aggrieved as he felt. Why was everyone being so cryptic about this case?

Zhao Yunlan pushed himself up on his elbows and frowned down at Shen Wei, brows furrowed and mouth turned down at the corners in a genuine pout. "How come you never call me names?"

Shen Wei was officially pissed off. He had made a mistake, he had apologised for his mistake. He understood Yunlan was mad and it killed him to upset the one he loved most but it had been over a week and Zhao Yunlan was still acting as if he didn’t exist.
He had given him his time, he had given him space but now it was time to try something else.

Zhao Yunlan liked the long hair.

So did Shen Wei.

Changcheng and Chu-ge are called in to work in the middle of the night.
