After a crazy night out at a club and a one night stand, Zhao Yunlan found himself enraptured not with the man who brought him home, but the man's quiet, gentle roommate. However, the mysterious man refused to let Zhao Yunlan even know his name, much less anything about him.

Soon, Zhao Yunlan found out that there's something deeply unsettling surrounding the roommates. There had to be a reason why Mr Handsome Roommate appeared to be scared of him, right?

Shen Wei takes the comfortable shape of a child and sits in Zhao Yunlan's lap, safe and content, as they gaze into each other's eyes. Zhao Yunlan lifts a flirtatious brow, reclining on the sofa and admiring his cute little kitten.

Shen Wei tries to solve his mess while the team tries to solve a case.

Now that it’s getting cold, they spend more time together indoors, and Shen San won’t deny that he’s bored at times. There’s only so much chess he can play and books don’t interest him the way they do Wei. They do own one interesting book but Wei has never let him finish it, pushing him down into the bed to torment him anew. Shen San is definitely not complaining about that but he’s only a third of the way through it while he knows Wei has read it all.

Li Qian's fumble and SID's surprise culminate in Zhao Yunlan finally bedding his mysterious crush.

Shen Wei returns home, finds Zhao Yunlan mysteriously changed and acts accordingly.

That's it, that's the plot.

Zhao Yunlan is having a really terrible week, and it just gets worse when he starts to think Shen Wei has gotten tired of his bullshit.

Zhao Yunlan and Shen Wei run into an array that makes them switch bodies, shortly after Zhao Yunlan found out that Shen Wei is the Ghost Slayer (When the SIU suspected that Shen Wei wasn't human, but didn't know for sure he wasn't). Shen Wei now has to deal with being human and in Zhao Yunlan's body with his souls, while Zhao Yunlan has to deal with being, well, Shen Wei, a Ghost King, and all that that entails. Meanwhile, Gui Mian still wants the four holy artifacts and the Yan Kings and Difu judge still want what they want. Will Zhao Yunlan and Shen Wei learn to deal with being in each other's bodies fast enough to prevent Gui Mian from getting the last two artifacts and the Yan Kings from getting what they want?

"Fucking heal yourself! What are you waiting for?!" Zhao Yunlan has never felt so helpless in his entire life. If this is one day in the five thousand years of exile, a shiver of dread races down his spine, thinking about what is to come further.

Zhao Yunlan's head is killing him. He groans and rolls over, thankful he's on a bed and not his sofa, because falling off would make it worse. Someone makes a soft noise of concern and a cool hand brushes against his forehead. Zhao Yunlan moans in relief; it feels like heaven. He blinks against the harsh light (not his room, oh no, he’s in a hospital) and settles his gaze on one of the prettiest people he’s ever seen.

“How does your head feel?” the handsome man asks.

“Like shit,” Zhao Yunlan says honestly.
