When Jiajia overheard her grandfather forcing her favorite teacher to make a difficult decision, she was ready to rush in to save Professor Shen. Then someone else beat her to it.

He can feel Da Qing lifting his head away from Zhao Yunlan, probably to look at Shen Wei, Zhao Yunlan wouldn't know since his own eyes haven't left Shen Wei at all. Suddenly Da Qing freezes too. Da Qing might not actually care much at all about any other humans and their reactions, but making the Black Cloaked Envoy upset is an entirely different thing.

They defeated the kaiju, and they're both alive and unharmed. That's worth celebrating.

Instead of traveling back to their own time after their fated trip to the past, Shen Wei and Zhao Yunlan are transported to another dimension—a world where they are married with a house. As Zhao Yunlan struggles to make sense of what he’s seen in Ancient Haixing and to ascertain where he stands in his relationship with the professor, the two of them will have to work with their doubles to find a way to return where they belong, complete their unstable set of Hallows, stop Ye Zun before it’s too late, and lastly, address their feelings for each other.

Shen Wei is seventeen years old when Kun Lun shoots his parents dead, and forcibly takes him and his twin brother under his wing.

He is eighteen when Kun Lun decides it's time to pay up.

"I wish I was there,” Zhao Yunlan says.

Shen Wei sounds amused. "While I'm grading? It would be very boring for you."

"It's never boring. Being with you." Zhao Yunlan swallows. "I like watching you."

Da Qing is sick, and Jin Ling is clueless!

What if time could be reversed? What if Zhao Yunlan had never died? What if everything could be stopped before it even started, and the tragedy completely avoided? Following the events of the final battle against Ye Zun, the adventure of a lifetime begins when Da Qing and the team decide to travel back in time to change the distant past and attempt to save the Guardian and the Black Cloaked Envoy before the inevitable happens.
